Health and Safety Strategist at the LKAB Group’s Sustainability Unit

About the Role
The Sustainability Unit is tasked with helping to ensure LKAB’s sustainability agenda through governance, reporting, and follow-up. By 2030, we have ambitious corporate goals in sustainability, including occupational health and safety.As a strategist in the Sustainability Department, you will participate in leading and developing the corporation’s strategic work in occupational health and safety.We are specifically seeking a strategist who, together with us, can drive, develop, and implement the strategic cross-company work in the field. This includes identifying relevant issues and processes through close collaboration with business areas and the industry, reporting and identifying success factors and areas for improvement, and developing the management system in the field.
This is what you bring with you
We are looking for someone with experience in the field of occupational health and safety. You have a relevant university degree or equivalent competence acquired through work experience. You have good leadership skills and can build relationships, both within and outside the workplace. Work environment questions are particularly important challenges for LKAB, and we are looking for someone with extensive experience in creating change and improvement in this area.As a Health and Safety Strategist, you also need to be communicative, analytical, and good at adopting a systems perspective. You have the ability to drive change within the whole HTO perspective.It is advantageous if you have experience in one or more of the following:
• Occupational health and safety work and/or leadership experience in the mining industry or other heavy industries
• Governance, follow-up, and reporting in a large organization
• Work in a staff function or equivalent
• Work in an international corporation
• Experience in monitoring legislation and research including experience in submitting consultation responses or similar
• Risk management
• Occupational health and safety data analysis
• Occupational health and safety economics
For this position, we require good spoken and written English skills. Ability to communicate in Swedish is advantageous.
You will report directly to the Head of Quality, Audit, and Occupational Health and Safety. The location is one of our operational sites (Kiruna, Gällivare, Luleå) or Stockholm. Travel is included in the role.
All positions at LKAB require a valid driver’s license and high school education.
