Your role
As a Field Engineer within the Mine Planning team in Kiruna, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between mine operations and the planning team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a early-career engineer to gain valuable hands-on experience underground and develop a deep understanding of the entire mining cycle, including sequencing and activity dependencies.
Your responsibilities include:
Ensuring that plans are clearly communicated to operations.
Creating a list of activities and priorities for preparation work, ensuring that production areas are adequately prepared in time.
Assures that coordination for services, rehabilitation, development, and production drilling activities are done in a proper way.
Identifying and reporting any delays in the above activities to relevant stakeholders.
Considers that compliance between budget and short-term plans is tracked and reported.
What you bring

A natural curiosity, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach will help you work effectively with different teams to ensure smooth operations.In addition, we are looking for someone with:
A B.Sc. in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Rock Engineering or Bergteknik.
Around one to two years of operational experience within the mining industry, which can include internships or equivalent experience.
A practical understanding of the mining cycle.
Fluency in both Swedish and English.
A valid driver’s license (equivalent to Swedish Class B).
It is a plus if you have previous experience in a planning team, as well as basic knowledge of Deswik.
