LKAB ranked as Sweden’s top 100 most attractive employers
We’re proud to announce that for the first time, LKAB has earned a place on the distinguished list of Sweden’s most sought-after employers for young talent. In tough competition with many of Sweden’s biggest employers and well-known brands, LKAB came in at 59 in the top 100 companies in the Young Professional Attraction Index survey conducted annually by Academic Works.
“This is great news! Students have been our target audience for a long while, specifically in our latest international awareness campaign ‘Our greatest challenge. Your greatest opportunity’, which is beginning to pay off. We’ve also seen increasing interest in the transition of our production aimed at reducing the iron and steel industry’s carbon footprint. This has aroused the interest of new student target groups, in addition to those already interested in high-tech iron ore mining and processing,” says Maria Reinholdsson, HR Director at LKAB.
While major tech companies and well-known brands top the list, the survey also shows that heavy industry and state-owned companies are becoming increasingly attractive. Three state-owned companies have made it onto the list for the first time this year, and LKAB is one of them. Joining LKAB as a newcomer on the list is electricity network operator Ellevio, while SSAB and Epiroc have returned to the list. Northvolt, which was in 73rd place last year, has climbed to 19th place.
HOW THE SURVEY WAS CONDUCTED:
There were 3,790 participants in the survey, which was conducted by Kantar Public in the Academic Works database. It included questions about what is important when choosing an employer, how selected employers are perceived and how well participants know Swedish employers.
