Nearly four times higher mineral resources

The intensive exploration work carried out in recent years has meant that the mineral resources at our mines in Svappavaara, Gällivare and Kiruna are nearly four times higher than in 2019.

LKAB invests close to SEK 1 billion to meet the challenges on the Iron Ore Line

For LKAB the Iron Ore Line is an integral part of the production system that starts in the mine, goes via the railway and ports and ends with steel and mineral customers.

In the Kuosajänkkä area just outside Svappavaara a long-term initiative is under way to enhance biodiversity and compensate for the impact of mining activities.
