Responsibilities and expectations
The new entrance system has been developed by LKAB and replaces older, more manual procedures. The new system makes the process safer and more traceable, with automatic checks of mandatory training and a clear chain from application to approval and allocation. It makes it easier for you as a supplier to follow the status of your application, step by step.
As a supplier to LKAB, you are responsible for:
- Applying in good time and only during the period and to the areas required for the current work
- Ensuring that mandatory training is valid. Some areas of operation require completed training before an application can be made, for example when applying for entrance to the mine
What is changing:
- Before you start using the entrance system, your company must be approved and registered in LKAB’s supplier register. You then need to register the company in the system before you can apply for entrance
- The system requires more information than before, such as the duration of the work and the purpose of the application
- Entrance is valid for a maximum of 6 months per application
- You get increased traceability and notifications for your own and your employees’ applications
- Management becomes simpler, for example when extending existing permissions
