November 29, 2023

Business Area Special Products has a key role to play in LKAB’s ongoing transformation, to increase efficiencies and ensure availability of products and services internally and to grow the external sales in the industrial minerals market with critical minerals production and new business.

“Darren Wilson is currently CEO of LKAB’s Industrial Minerals Division and will now take on a broader role for the Business Area Special Products, effective January 1st 2024. He will drive both development of our internal service and product companies as well as the external industrial minerals sales, including the realisation of LKAB’s ambition to extract phosphorus and rare earth elements from mining waste. Darren’s long operational and commercial experience will be an important contribution to the group management team and will contribute to the further internationalisation of our business” says Jan Moström, CEO and President LKAB.

Darren will replace Leif Boström who has chosen to retire after 31 years in the company.
“I want to thank Leif for his significant contributions to the company in his most recent role and previously as CFO for the group” says Jan Moström.

Darren Wilson has been employed by LKAB since 2013 and has a long international experience in mineral extraction, processing and manufacture of added value products in both operational and commercial capabilities.
