Rock Mechanic – Ground Deformation

Are you ready for a new challenge as a Rock Mechanic in one of Sweden’s most stunning and unique regions? We are looking for a skilled rock mechanic, or mine engineer, to monitor and analyse ground deformations in Malmberget Mine, one of the largest mines in the world. You will work together with a multidisciplinary team using direct and indirect methods, providing expert advice and reporting to support our operation and our urban transformation team. If you have experience in rock mechanics and mining (or tunnelling), this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Your role

As a Rock Mechanic, your primary responsibility will be to forecast and monitor ground deformations above ground using a variety of methods. You will provide expert advisory reports and support various areas of LKAB with your knowledge. In this role, you will:
