Laboratory Technician

About the position
LKAB is establishing a new laboratory on Svartön in Luleå. With the goal to strengthen and develop internal competence towards the core, and most critical, process in the planned industrial park.
We are now looking for you who wants to be a part of the startup of the laboratory. As one of the first colleagues of the lab you will be taking part in developing routines, working methods, and setting the standard for the culture.
A typical working day as a laboratory technician may include:
- Participate in planning and implementation of research and product development assignments
- Carry out laboratory analyzes of products and raw materials. Assess the reasonableness of the results obtained
- Participate in the development of analysis methods and ensure their relevance
- Assist with analyzes and investigation assignments
- Process optimization and follow-up
Your qualifications
To suit this role you hold a university degree with a relevant focus containing chemistry or some other educational background the employer finds suitable. A systematic and independent way of working is a prerequisite, in addition to that you need to be flexible, adaptive in changing situations, analytical and open to exchange of experience. If you have knowledge of pilot scale test runs and related analytics it is an advantage.In this recruitment, we are looking for both you with experience as a laboratory technician and you who are newer to the field, with a basic understanding of chemistry, and want to continue developing together with us.
Introduction and work tasks will be based on your education, background and experience.
